Sophie Hammond moved to Cornwall from East London over 12 years ago. She has always found great joy in creativity whether that be painting, drawing, mixed media, lino printing, photography or music. Achieving a City & Guilds and a Level 1 diploma in pottery, she went on to study a BA (Hons) in Art and Design Practice at Cornwall College, Camborne and specialised in Ceramics. Sophie has a passion for creating original, highly decorative patterns using clay as a canvas. She loves to play with paper cutting, resist and sgraffito techniques and revels in the creation of beautiful, functional items for the home.
